The STM32H745XIH6 is a high-performance dual-core microcontroller combining an Arm Cortex-M7 running at 480MHz and a Cortex-M4 at 240MHz. This heterogeneous architecture enables simultaneous real-time processing on the M4 core and compute-intensive tasks on the M7 core. The device features 2MB dual-bank Flash memory with read-while-write capability and 1MB of RAM including TCM, SRAM, and backup domains. Extensive peripherals include Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0 HS/FS with PHY, CAN FD, multiple SPI/I2C/USART interfaces, and a flexible memory controller supporting external SDRAM and Flash.

The STM32H745XIH6 uses a heterogeneous dual-core architecture where the Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M4 cores operate independently or collaboratively. Inter-processor communication is facilitated through shared memory regions and hardware semaphores. The M7 core features a 6-stage pipeline with dual-issue capability, a double-precision floating-point unit, and L1 caches. The M4 core includes an adaptive real-time accelerator (ART Accelerator) for zero-wait-state Flash access. Both cores share access to peripheral buses and external memory through the multi-AHB bus matrix. Power management includes separate voltage domains for each core and adaptive clock gating.
