The SN74AHC1G125DBVR is a single-channel bus buffer gate/line driver with 3-state output from the AHC logic family. When the output-enable (OE) input is high, the output is disabled (high-impedance). When OE is low, true data passes from the A input to the Y output. The device operates from 2V to 5.5V with a maximum propagation delay of 6 ns at 5V, making it suitable for high-speed signal buffering and bus isolation in mixed-voltage systems.

The SN74AHC1G125 consists of two main functional blocks: (1) 3-State Output Control: The OE (output enable) pin controls the output buffer state. When OE is HIGH, the output stage is placed in a high-impedance state, effectively disconnecting the device from the bus. When OE is LOW, the output is actively driven. (2) Non-Inverting Buffer: The input signal at pin A passes through a CMOS buffer stage to the Y output without inversion. The AHC (Advanced High-Speed CMOS) technology provides fast switching (6ns tpd at 5V) while maintaining low static power consumption (10µA max ICC).
