The Diodes Inc PI6C557-03ALEX is a 1-to-5 PCIe clock generator/buffer in TSSOP-28 package, providing five low-jitter (0.7ps RMS) differential HCSL clock outputs for PCIe Gen 1/2/3 clock distribution. It accepts either a crystal or LVCMOS input and distributes 100MHz clocks with individual output enable control.

The PI6C557-03ALEX takes a 25MHz crystal input (or 100MHz LVCMOS) and generates five 100MHz differential HCSL (High-Speed Current Steering Logic) output pairs. HCSL is the standard PCIe clock format. The internal PLL multiplies the 25MHz crystal to 100MHz, while the output buffers provide low-jitter (0.7ps RMS) distribution. Each output pair can be individually enabled or disabled via control pins. The device supports spread-spectrum clocking (SSC) from the input for EMI reduction.
