The MX25L1006EZUI-10G from Macronix is a 1Mbit (128KB) SPI NOR Flash in ultra-small USON-8 (2x3mm). Supports 104MHz standard SPI and 80MHz Dual Output SPI for fast read. 256-byte page program, 4KB sector and 64KB block erase. Features include WP# and HOLD# pins, deep power-down (5uA), block lock protection, and SFDP. ZUI suffix denotes USON-8 package, -10G denotes 104MHz speed grade, green/RoHS. Part status: Not For New Designs (NFN).

The MX25L1006E uses a standard SPI command protocol: CS# goes low to select the device, then an 8-bit command code is clocked in, followed by 24-bit address and data. Read operations output data on SO (Serial Out). Dual Output mode uses both SI and SO as data outputs for 2x throughput. Write operations require setting the Write Enable Latch (WEL) via the Write Enable (06h) command before each program or erase operation. The auto-program algorithm internally generates and times the program pulse widths and verifies the result. The Block Protect (BP0, BP1) bits in the status register define which address ranges are protected from program and erase. The HOLD# pin pauses serial communication without deselecting the device, and WP# protects the status register from modification.
