The MPS MP8759GD-Z is a high-current 9A synchronous step-down converter in a compact 3x4mm QFN-12 package. With ultra-low 16mΩ/7mΩ integrated MOSFETs, it delivers up to 9A continuous output current from 4.5V to 18V input. The power-good output and precision enable threshold make it ideal for power sequencing in servers, FPGAs, and high-performance computing applications.

The MP8759GD-Z uses current-mode control with integrated ultra-low-RDS(ON) N-channel MOSFETs for synchronous rectification. The 0.6V reference voltage with ±1% accuracy provides precise output regulation. The internal current sensing eliminates the need for an external sense resistor. The power-good (PG) output indicates when the output voltage is within regulation, enabling power sequencing in multi-rail systems. The precision enable threshold (1.2V typical) allows voltage-based sequencing using a resistor divider. Hiccup-mode overcurrent protection limits average fault current during short circuits.
