The ME6211C33M5G from Microne is a high-speed, high-PSRR, low-noise CMOS LDO voltage regulator providing a fixed 3.3V output at up to 500 mA. Its excellent PSRR and low noise performance make it ideal for RF and audio power supply applications. The device supports ceramic output capacitors and features very low quiescent current for battery-powered designs.

The ME6211C33M5G uses a CMOS bandgap reference and high-gain error amplifier to regulate the output voltage. The internal reference is compared with the output voltage through a resistor divider, and the error amplifier drives a PMOS pass transistor to maintain regulation. The high PSRR is achieved through the error amplifier design and internal filtering. Overcurrent protection senses pass transistor current and limits it to a safe level, while thermal shutdown disables the output when the die temperature exceeds the safe operating limit.
