The glass-passivated chip junctions ensure reliable operation with low reverse leakage of 5 µA maximum. The 1.0 V maximum forward voltage drop per bridge minimizes power dissipation, while the 30 A surge current rating handles typical inrush currents during power-on. The MBF package occupies minimal board area (6.5 × 4.5 mm), making it ideal for space-constrained AC-DC power supply designs in consumer and industrial applications.

The MB10F-13 contains four diodes connected in a Graetz bridge configuration. During the positive half-cycle of the AC input, two diagonally opposite diodes conduct, routing current through the load in one direction. During the negative half-cycle, the other two diodes conduct, maintaining the same current direction through the load. This full-wave rectification converts AC input into pulsed DC output with 100% utilization of both half-cycles, doubling the ripple frequency compared to half-wave rectification and simplifying downstream filtering. The glass-passivated junctions provide high reliability and stable reverse leakage characteristics over temperature.
