The MAX4051ESE+T is a low-voltage CMOS analog multiplexer from Analog Devices configured as an 8-channel (1-of-8) multiplexer. It is pin-compatible with the industry-standard 74HC4051 while offering superior analog performance with guaranteed 100-ohm on-resistance, less than -90dB crosstalk, and rail-to-rail signal handling. The device operates from a single +2.7V to +16V supply or dual +/-2.7V to +/-8V supplies, making it versatile for both single-supply and split-supply applications.

The MAX4051 uses CMOS transmission gates to route one of eight analog input channels (NO0-NO7) to the common output (COM) based on the 3-bit address input (A0, A1, A2). An active-low enable (INH) pin allows disabling all channels. The CMOS switch construction provides rail-to-rail analog signal handling. Each switch consists of parallel N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs that together provide low and relatively flat on-resistance across the full signal range.
