The NXP LPC1115FBD48/303 is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 microcontroller from the LPC1100XL series, designed as a cost-effective upgrade path from 8-bit and 16-bit architectures. It integrates 64 kB of flash memory, 8 kB of SRAM, and operates at up to 50 MHz with single-supply operation from 1.8 V to 3.6 V. The rich peripheral complement includes one Fast-mode Plus I2C interface, one RS-485 capable UART with fractional baud rate, two SPI/SSP controllers, four general-purpose timers, a 10-bit ADC with 8 input channels, and up to 42 GPIO pins. The /303 XL series variant adds a windowed watchdog timer and configurable open-drain output mode for enhanced system reliability.

The LPC1115 is based on the ARM Cortex-M0 processor core running at up to 50 MHz, executing a subset of the Thumb-2 instruction set for high code density. The integrated Nested Vectored Interrupt Controller (NVIC) handles interrupt priorities with minimal latency. Flash memory is accessible in a single cycle for optimized performance. The power management unit supports sleep, deep-sleep, and deep power-down modes, with wake-up from deep-sleep via start logic on up to 13 pins. The PLL allows CPU operation at maximum frequency from a 12 MHz internal RC oscillator (trimmed to 1% accuracy) or external crystal. ISP enables field firmware updates via UART without a debugger.
