LM358DT

The LM358DT from STMicroelectronics is a dual operational amplifier in an SOIC-8 surface-mount package, designed for single-supply operation over a wide voltage range of 3V to 32V. The device features input common-mode voltage range that includes ground and output swing to ground, eliminating the need for dual supplies in many applications. Internally frequency compensated, it requires no external components for unity-gain stability. The extended temperature range of -40C to 125C makes it suitable for industrial environments.

The LM358DT contains two independent op-amps, each with a PNP differential input stage followed by gain and output stages. The input stage design allows the common-mode voltage range to extend to ground, enabling single-supply operation. The class AB output stage can both source and sink current, with the output capable of swinging to ground without a pull-down resistor. Internal compensation provides stability at unity gain. Each amplifier operates independently while sharing supply voltage connections.
