The Murata GRM21BR71C104KA01L is a 100nF 16V X7R MLCC in 0805 package. The larger 0805 footprint compared to 0603 provides easier handling for manual assembly and prototyping, while maintaining the same 100nF decoupling function. It is a standard bypass capacitor for prototype and low-volume production boards.

The GRM21BR71C104KA01L uses Murata’s multi-layer ceramic capacitor technology with X7R dielectric. The 0805 package has a larger pad area than 0603, providing lower ESL (equivalent series inductance) and slightly better high-frequency bypass performance. The X7R dielectric maintains ±15% capacitance stability over the -55°C to +125°C temperature range.
