The ATL431LIAQDBZRQ1 is a Texas Instruments AEC-Q100 Grade 0 qualified adjustable precision shunt voltage reference designed for automotive applications. The 1.24V internal reference allows regulation down to 2.7V in isolated flyback supplies with an optocoupler. The B grade provides 0.5% reference tolerance at 25C. The cathode current range spans 100 uA to 150 mA, with 0.15 ohm typical dynamic output impedance. The output voltage is adjustable from VREF to 18V using two external resistors. Grade 0 qualification supports junction temperatures up to 150C for under-hood automotive applications. The SOT-23-3 package minimizes board space in space-constrained automotive ECUs.

The ATL431 operates as a three-terminal shunt regulator identical to the TLVH431. The internal 1.24V bandgap reference, error amplifier, and open-collector output transistor form a feedback loop. When the REF pin voltage exceeds VREF, the cathode transistor conducts, sinking current to regulate the output. The output voltage is set by VO = VREF x (1 + R1/R2) + IREF x R1. The AEC-Q100 qualification ensures the device meets automotive reliability requirements including extended temperature cycling, accelerated stress testing, and defect screening. The Grade 0 rating allows operation at junction temperatures up to 150C.
