The ADM3251EARWZ is a 2.5kV fully isolated single-channel RS-232 transceiver from Analog Devices with integrated isoPower DC/DC converter. Using iCoupler magnetic isolation technology, it provides complete signal and power isolation without requiring an external isolated power supply. The device operates from a single 5V supply with only 5 external 0.1uF capacitors for the charge pump, and supports data rates up to 460kbps with +/-15kV air gap ESD protection on RS-232 pins.

The ADM3251E combines dual-channel iCoupler digital isolators with an integrated isoPower isolated DC/DC converter. The isoPower converter uses micro-transformers fabricated on the IC die to transfer power across the isolation barrier, generating the isolated 5V supply (VISO) needed for the RS-232 transceiver side. Signal isolation is achieved through additional micro-transformers that magnetically couple digital data across the isolation barrier. The charge pump voltage doubler/inverter generates the +/-10V RS-232 transmit levels from the 5V VISO supply.

  • In case of loss or severe damage during transit, please contact us within 48 hours after receiving the tracking information. We will assist you in filing a claim with the logistics provider.
