(2) The CMOS switch element uses parallel N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs to achieve low and relatively constant on-resistance across the full signal range from VSS to VDD. The 50 ohm typical Ron with 2 ohm matching ensures minimal gain error and channel-to-channel variation in precision multiplexed systems. (3) The break-before-make switching action ensures that the previously selected channel is disconnected before the new channel is connected, preventing momentary short circuits between input channels. The sub-picoamp leakage current and 3pC charge injection minimize signal corruption during channel switching.
