The AC220S05DC-10W is a 10W AC-DC power supply module that converts 85-264VAC universal input to a regulated 5VDC output at up to 2A. The compact PCB-mount module integrates all necessary power conversion circuitry including EMI filtering, bridge rectifier, flyback switching converter, output rectification and filtering, and voltage regulation in a single encapsulated package. This integration dramatically reduces the number of external components required compared to a discrete switching power supply design, simplifying PCB layout and reducing time-to-market. The reinforced 3000VAC isolation between primary and secondary sides meets IEC 62368-1 safety requirements for IT and AV equipment.

The module uses a flyback converter topology with a monolithic switching IC. The AC input passes through an EMI filter (common-mode choke and X/Y capacitors), then a bridge rectifier and bulk capacitor produce a high-voltage DC bus. The switching IC drives a primary-side MOSFET at high frequency (typically 60-130kHz), transferring energy through the flyback transformer. Secondary-side rectification and LC filtering produce the regulated 5VDC output. An optocoupler feedback loop maintains output voltage regulation across load and line variations. Built-in OVP (over-voltage protection), OCP (over-current protection), and OTP (over-temperature protection) ensure safe operation under fault conditions.
