The KEMET 9H03200036 is a feed-through EMI filter capacitor from the KEMET 9H series. Feed-through capacitors use a coaxial construction where the signal conductor passes through the center of a cylindrical capacitor element, providing extremely low effective series inductance (ESL) compared to standard MLCC capacitors. This enables effective filtering up to GHz frequencies, making them essential components for meeting conducted emission limits in shielded enclosure applications. The 9H series is designed for high-reliability applications including military, aerospace, and medical equipment where EMI compliance is mandatory.

Feed-through filter capacitors use a coaxial construction where the signal conductor passes through the center of a cylindrical capacitor element. The signal conductor forms the inner electrode, and the outer electrode is connected to the ground plane. This geometry provides extremely low ESL compared to standard MLCC capacitors, enabling effective filtering up to GHz frequencies. At low frequencies, the capacitor appears as a high impedance, while at high frequencies it provides a low-impedance shunt path to ground for EMI noise currents.
