It delivers ultralow noise density of 30μg/√Hz over an extended frequency range with a ±100g full-scale range and linear frequency response from DC to 11kHz. The device features stable and repeatable sensitivity, immune to external shocks up to 10,000g, with integrated electrostatic self-test and overrange indicator for advanced system-level features.

The ADXL1001 uses a MEMS sensing element that converts acceleration into a capacitance change. The differential capacitor structure detects displacement of a proof mass under acceleration, which is then converted to a voltage signal proportional to the applied acceleration. The analog output voltage is ratiometric to the supply voltage. The integrated self-test function applies an electrostatic force to the proof mass to verify sensor functionality. The overrange indicator provides a digital flag when the measured acceleration exceeds the specified range.
