The Analog Devices ADUCM360BCPZ128 is a fully integrated 24-bit data acquisition system-on-chip combining dual high-performance Sigma-Delta ADCs with a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor and 128 kB Flash memory in a compact LFCSP-48 package. Each ADC features a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with gains from 1 to 128, flexible input multiplexing supporting 6 differential or 12 single-ended channels, and parallel sinc3/sinc4 and sinc2 digital filters for simultaneous precision and fast-settling measurements. A single 12-bit voltage-output DAC with NPN mode enables direct 4-20 mA current loop drive. The device operates from 1.8V to 3.6V with core consumption of just 290 uA/MHz.

The ADUCM360 operates as a precision mixed-signal microcontroller where analog and digital subsystems work in concert. The dual Sigma-Delta ADCs use oversampling and noise shaping to achieve 24-bit resolution at up to 3.9 kSPS output rate. Each ADC has an independent PGA that amplifies small sensor signals before conversion, with programmable excitation current sources for direct RTD and thermocouple interfacing. The sinc3/sinc4 filters provide high precision measurements while the parallel sinc2 filter enables fast step-change detection. The ARM Cortex-M3 core at up to 16 MHz processes converted data, executes control algorithms, and communicates results via UART, I2C, or SPI. The 12-bit DAC generates analog output voltages or drives 4-20 mA current loops in NPN mode. An internal 32 kHz crystal oscillator and 16 MHz RC oscillator provide clock sources with programmable dividers.
