It provides low 6Ω typical on-resistance at 5V with 1.5Ω flatness, 300MHz bandwidth, and break-before-make switching for clean signal transitions. The wide 1.65V to 5.5V supply range and overvoltage-tolerant control inputs make it suitable for mixed-voltage systems. The 74LVC1G3157GW uses CMOS transmission gate topology to implement the SPDT switch function. A digital select input (S) controls which of the two throw terminals (Y0 or Y1) is connected to the common pole (Z). When S is low, Y0 is connected to Z; when S is high, Y1 is connected to Z. The break-before-make circuitry ensures the current path is briefly interrupted during switching, preventing momentary short circuits between the two input channels. The transmission gate structure provides bidirectional signal flow and rail-to-rail signal handling. The on-resistance is determined by the parallel combination of the PMOS and NMOS switch transistors, which are sized to minimize RON and its variation across the signal range.
