The LFXTAL009650REEL from IQD Frequency Products is a 32.768kHz quartz crystal in HC49/S through-hole package with +/-20ppm tolerance, 12.5pF load capacitance, and 35k Ohm ESR for real-time clock applications.

The tuning-fork quartz crystal resonates at 32.768kHz (2^15 Hz), the standard frequency for real-time clock dividers. When placed in the feedback path of a CMOS oscillator circuit with 12.5pF load capacitance, the piezoelectric effect sustains precise oscillation. The 32.768kHz output is divided by 2^15 to produce a 1Hz signal for timekeeping.
