The ISO7742QDBQQ1 is an automotive-qualified, high-speed, reinforced quad-channel digital isolator with a 2/2 channel configuration. It provides 5000Vrms reinforced isolation with CMTI up to 100kV/us, making it suitable for harsh automotive and industrial environments. The device supports data rates up to 100Mbps with a typical propagation delay of only 11ns. Each side operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V supply, enabling level translation between different voltage domains. The robust EMC design ensures reliable operation in noisy environments.

The ISO7742QDBQQ1 uses capacitive isolation technology with on-chip transformers to couple digital signals across the isolation barrier. The input signal is encoded and transmitted through the isolation capacitor, then decoded on the output side. The device features a fail-safe mechanism that defaults the output to a defined state when the input is not powered or the signal is lost. The robust EMC design includes filtering and shielding to minimize radiated and conducted emissions while maintaining high immunity to external electromagnetic interference.
