The XC6220B331MR from Torex Semiconductor is a high-performance CMOS LDO voltage regulator providing a fixed 3.3V output at up to 300 mA. It features excellent PSRR (70 dB @ 1 kHz) and ultra-low output noise (30 µVrms), making it ideal for noise-sensitive RF, audio, and precision analog circuits. The device supports ceramic output capacitors and includes enable control, overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown.

The XC6220B331MR uses a CMOS bandgap reference and error amplifier to regulate output voltage. The reference voltage is compared with a fraction of the output via an internal resistor divider, and the error amplifier drives a PMOS pass transistor to maintain regulation. The high PSRR is achieved through the error amplifier design and internal filtering, which attenuates input supply noise. Overcurrent protection limits the pass transistor gate drive when output current exceeds the threshold, while thermal shutdown disables the output when junction temperature exceeds safe limits.
