The PIC24FJ128GA106-I/PT from Microchip is a 16-bit microcontroller from the PIC24F GA1 family featuring 128KB Flash program memory and 8KB RAM. The PIC24FJ128GA106-I/PT is a 16-bit modified Harvard architecture microcontroller. (1) PIC24F Core: The CPU executes a 24-bit wide instruction set with a 16-bit data path, achieving 16 MIPS at 32MHz (2 cycles per instruction for most). The core supports hardware multiply and 40-bit accumulators for DSP operations. (2) Flash Memory: The 128KB Flash stores program instructions. A separate configuration section stores device fuses and calibration data. (3) PPS: Peripheral Pin Select allows many digital peripheral inputs and outputs to be mapped to any of the available I/O pins through configuration registers, providing PCB layout flexibility and reducing the need for external routing logic. (4) 12-bit ADC: The successive approximation ADC provides 12-bit resolution at up to 200ksps. The 16-channel input multiplexer allows monitoring multiple analog signals.
