The OPA4277UA from Texas Instruments is a quad-channel precision operational amplifier that replaces industry-standard OP-07, OP-77, and OP-177 devices with significantly improved performance. It features ultra-low 10 uV max input offset voltage, 0.1 uV/C typical offset drift, 140 dB CMRR, and 134 dB open-loop gain. The device operates from ±2V to ±18V supplies with only 800 uA quiescent current per channel, offering twice the bandwidth and slew rate of OP-07 at half the quiescent current. The 1 nA maximum input bias current and 8 nV/sqrtHz noise density make it ideal for precision low-frequency applications.

The OPA4277UA uses a bipolar-input differential pair with e-trim technology, which trims the input offset voltage during final test using polyfuse or laser trimming. The four independent amplifiers share only the supply pins, providing complete channel-to-channel isolation. The high 134 dB open-loop gain is achieved through a two-stage topology with active load. The 140 dB CMRR results from tightly matched input transistor pairs. Each channel’s 800 uA quiescent current powers the input pair, gain stages, and output driver. The output stage uses a Class AB topology capable of driving 600 Ohm loads with low crossover distortion.
