The OPA376AIDBVR from Texas Instruments is a precision low-noise CMOS operational amplifier utilizing proprietary e-trim technology to achieve outstanding DC precision and AC performance in a compact SOT-23-5 package. The e-trim process trims the offset voltage during final manufacturing, resulting in a typical offset of only 5uV and maximum of 25uV without the need for external trimming. With 7.5nV/rtHz voltage noise density at 1kHz and 0.8uVpp noise in the 0.1-10Hz band, the OPA376 is suitable for precision signal conditioning where both low noise and low DC offset are critical. The rail-to-rail input and output stages maximize dynamic range in single-supply applications from 2.2V to 5.5V. A gain bandwidth product of 5.5MHz and slew rate of 2V/us provide adequate speed for most precision applications including active filters and ADC driver circuits. The quiescent current of 760uA typical (950uA max) makes the OPA376 suitable for battery-powered instruments. The excellent PSRR of 106dB allows direct operation from unregulated battery supplies without significant performance degradation. The EMI-hardened input design reduces susceptibility to RF interference in noisy environments. The OPA376 is part of a family that includes the OPA2376 (dual) and OPA4376 (quad) versions.

The OPA376AIDBVR operates as a precision CMOS operational amplifier using e-trim technology. Key subsystems include: (1) e-trim Technology – a post-package trimming technique that adjusts the input offset voltage during final manufacturing test; this eliminates the need for external trimming components and ensures low offset over temperature and time; (2) CMOS Input Stage – the CMOS input pair provides ultra-low input bias current of 0.2pA typical, making the device ideal for high-impedance sensor interfaces; the rail-to-rail input common-mode range is achieved through a complementary input pair architecture (PMOS and NMOS pairs in parallel); (3) Rail-to-Rail Output Stage – a common-source output stage swings to within millivolts of both supply rails, maximizing output dynamic range in single-supply applications; output current capability of 50mA (typical) drives moderate loads directly; (4) Frequency Compensation – internal dominant-pole compensation provides stable operation for closed-loop gains of 1 or greater; the 5.5MHz GBW and 2V/us slew rate support signal frequencies up to several hundred kHz; (5) EMI Filtering – on-chip EMI rejection filters at the input pins reduce susceptibility to conducted RF interference, preventing DC offset shifts caused by out-of-band signals; this is critical in environments with nearby RF transmitters or switching regulators.
