The suffix C191 denotes 0603 footprint, K indicates green color (571nm dominant wavelength), G indicates green LED chip, K indicates water clear lens, and T denotes tape and reel packaging. At 20mA forward current, it delivers 35mcd typical luminous intensity with a wide 130 degree viewing angle. The 2.0V typical forward voltage is compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic through a simple series resistor. Its ultra-thin 0.55mm height makes it suitable for space-constrained designs.

The LTST-C191KGKT operates as a GaP/GaAsP green LED: (1) Electroluminescence: When forward-biased above the turn-on voltage (~1.8V), electrons and holes recombine in the PN junction, releasing photons at the green wavelength (571nm dominant, 574nm peak). (2) Current-Limited Operation: The LED must be driven with a current-limiting resistor calculated as R = (VSUPPLY – VF) / IF. For a 3.3V supply: R = (3.3V – 2.0V) / 20mA = 65 Ohm. (3) Wide Viewing Angle: The water-clear lens and chip construction provide a 130 degree viewing angle for wide-area visibility. (4) Low-Power: At 20mA and 2.0V, the LED dissipates only 40mW, well within the 75mW maximum rating.
