The Kycon KPJX-3S-S is a 3-position DC power jack connector from the KPJX series, designed for secure snap-and-lock mating with shielded EMI protection. The connector features 3 positions (1 signal + 2 power), supporting current ratings of 1A for signal and 7.5A for power contacts at 48VDC. The right-angle through-hole mounting configuration includes board guides and board locks for secure PCB attachment. The PBT housing meets UL94 V-0 flammability requirements, making it suitable for a wide range of power input applications.

The KPJX-3S-S operates as a DC power input jack with a snap-and-lock mating mechanism. The shielded metal shell provides EMI shielding and ground connection. When the mating plug (KPPX series) is inserted, the snap-lock mechanism engages to prevent accidental disconnection. The power contacts handle up to 7.5A while the signal contact provides 1A capability for power detection or control signals. The tin-plated brass and phosphor bronze contacts ensure reliable electrical connection with low contact resistance.
