The ADUM2402ARWZ-RL from Analog Devices is a quad-channel iCoupler digital isolator with 2 forward and 2 reverse channels, supporting DC to 90Mbps data rate with 2.5kV rms isolation in SOIC-16W package. With 2ns max pulse width distortion and over 25kV/us CMTI, it provides precise timing isolation for bidirectional signal buses.

The ADUM2402ARWZ-RL from Analog Devices is a quad-channel digital isolator based on iCoupler magnetic isolation technology. With two forward and two reverse channels, it is ideal for isolating bidirectional communication interfaces such as I2C (SDA and SCL both bidirectional) or SPI with dual MISO lines. The device supports data rates from DC to 90Mbps with only 2ns maximum pulse width distortion and 2ns maximum channel-to-channel matching. Both sides operate from 2.7V to 5.5V, enabling level translation between different voltage domains. The RL suffix indicates tape and reel packaging.

The ADUM2402ARWZ-RL operates using Analog Devices iCoupler magnetic isolation technology. (1) Each channel consists of a CMOS encoder on the input side that converts the digital signal into high-frequency pulses driving on-chip planar transformer windings. The magnetic coupling transfers the signal across the isolation barrier, where a CMOS decoder reconstructs the digital signal. (2) The two forward channels (VIA->VOA, VIB->VOB) carry signals from side 1 to side 2, while the two reverse channels (VIC->VOC, VID->VOD) carry signals from side 2 to side 1, enabling full bidirectional communication. (3) The patented refresh circuit continuously pulses the transformers to maintain correct output state during static input conditions, and the >25kV/us CMTI prevents false switching during common-mode transients.
