The ADUM1311ARWZ-RL from Analog Devices is a triple-channel digital isolator using iCoupler technology with up to 1 Mbps data rate (A grade). It provides 2500 Vrms isolation with 25 kV/us common-mode transient immunity in a 16-lead wide-body SOIC package. The 1311 configuration provides 2 forward and 1 reverse channel, supporting bidirectional communication with programmable default output states.

The ADUM1311ARWZ-RL from Analog Devices is a triple-channel digital isolator based on ADI iCoupler technology. The ADuM1311 configuration provides 2 forward channels and 1 reverse channel, supporting bidirectional communication such as SPI with clock/data in one direction and MISO in the other. The A grade supports data rates up to 1 Mbps with 100 ns max propagation delay. It provides 2500 Vrms isolation per UL 1577 with >25 kV/us common-mode transient immunity. The wide-body SOIC-16 package offers 8.1 mm external creepage. Each side can operate from 2.7V to 5.5V independently, enabling level translation across the isolation barrier.

The ADUM1311ARWZ-RL uses ADI iCoupler technology which replaces the LED/photodiode pair of traditional optocouplers with on-chip planar air-core transformers. The input signal drives an encoder that generates pulses through the transformer primary; a decoder on the secondary side reconstructs the signal. This magnetic coupling approach eliminates LED aging, current transfer ratio (CTR) degradation, and temperature-dependent performance issues inherent in optocouplers. A patented refresh circuit periodically transmits update pulses across the barrier, ensuring DC correctness even when no input transitions occur. The programmable default output feature (via CTRL pins) sets the output state when VDD1 is absent, enabling safe power-down behavior. The dual-supply architecture (VDD1/VDD2) with independent 2.7-5.5V ranges allows the device to translate logic levels across the isolation barrier.
