The ADP3331ARTZ-REEL7 is a 500mA anyCAP low-dropout linear regulator from Analog Devices with adjustable output voltage from 1.5V to 5.5V. The anyCAP architecture is stable with any type of output capacitor (including MLCCs), and features +/-1.4% output accuracy, low 140mV dropout at 500mA, and shutdown mode in a SOT-23-6 package.

The ADP3331ARTZ-REEL7 is a 500mA low-dropout linear regulator from Analog Devices featuring the anyCAP architecture that is stable with any type of output capacitor including MLCCs. With +/-1.4% output accuracy, 140mV dropout at full load, and adjustable output from 1.5V to 5.5V, it provides flexible power regulation for portable and battery-powered applications. The 35uA operating current and 1uA shutdown current preserve battery life.

The ADP3331 uses a PMOS pass transistor in a low-dropout configuration. The anyCAP architecture employs an internal pole-zero compensation scheme that maintains stability regardless of the output capacitor’s ESR, capacitance value, or dielectric type. This eliminates the instability issues common with low-ESR ceramic capacitors in traditional LDO designs. The adjustable output is set by an external resistor divider connected to the ADJ feedback pin. Internal current limiting and thermal shutdown protect against fault conditions.
