The AD812ARZ-REEL7 from Analog Devices is a dual, current feedback, low power video amplifier in an 8-lead SOIC package. Each of the two amplifiers provides 145MHz unity-gain bandwidth and 1600V/us slew rate with only 4mA maximum supply current per amplifier at +5V. The device is specifically optimized for driving one back-terminated video load (150Ohm) per amplifier, with outstanding 0.02% differential gain error and 0.02 degree differential phase error. It can operate from a single +3V supply up to dual ±15V supplies, making it versatile for both portable and professional video applications. The REEL7 suffix indicates 7-inch reel tape and reel packaging.

The AD812 uses a current feedback (CFB) amplifier architecture, where the bandwidth is primarily determined by the feedback resistor value rather than the closed-loop gain, unlike voltage feedback amplifiers. This allows the gain to be adjusted without sacrificing bandwidth. The non-inverting input is high impedance (voltage input), while the inverting input is low impedance (current input). The internal current conveyor converts the feedback current to a voltage at the compensation node, and the output stage drives the load. Each amplifier can deliver 50mA output current and swing to within 1V of either supply rail when driving a 150Ohm load.
