The XC7A200T-2FFG1156I from AMD (Xilinx) is the highest-density Artix-7 FPGA with 215,360 logic cells, 740 DSP48E1 slices, 13.1Mb Block RAM, and 16 GTP multi-gigabit transceivers up to 6.6Gbps. The -2 speed grade provides the highest performance within the Artix-7 family, and the I-grade operates from -40C to +100C. The device includes an integrated PCIe 2.1 endpoint block, clock management tiles (CMT) with PLL and MMCM, and supports configuration via JTAG, SelectMAP, or SPI/BPI flash memory. The FFG1156 package provides up to 500 user I/O pins with 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V I/O bank support.

The XC7A200T-2FFG1156I uses the Xilinx 7-series FPGA architecture. (1) Configurable Logic Blocks (CLB): Each CLB contains two slices with LUTs (6-input), flip-flops, and carry logic for implementing combinational and sequential logic. (2) Block RAM: 730 BRAM36K blocks provide 36Kb each of dual-port synchronous RAM, configurable as 36Kb x1, 18Kb x2, or smaller widths with parity. (3) DSP48E1: Each DSP slice implements a 25×18 multiplier, 48-bit accumulator, and pre-adder for efficient FIR filtering and FFT. (4) GTP Transceivers: 16 serial transceivers handle 6.6Gbps line rates with 8b/10b or 64b/66b encoding for PCIe, SATA, CPRI, and other protocols. (5) CMT: Each clock management tile includes a MMCM (mixed-mode clock manager) and PLL for frequency synthesis, phase alignment, and jitter filtering. (6) Configuration: The device loads its configuration bitstream from external flash (SPI/BPI) or via JTAG/SelectMAP, programming all SRAM-based configuration cells.
