The XC7A100T-1CSG324I from AMD/Xilinx is an Artix-7 FPGA with 101,440 logic cells, 4,860 Kb block RAM, and 240 DSP slices in CSBGA-324 (15x15mm). 210 user I/Os with multi-standard SelectIO supporting DDR3 up to 400Mbps. Speed grade -1 (lowest power). 0.95-1.05V core. C suffix denotes 324-pin CSG package, S suffix denotes CSBGA, G suffix denotes lead-free, -1 speed grade denotes lowest power/cost, I suffix denotes industrial temperature (-40 to 100°C). No GTP transceivers in this package. Ideal for cost-sensitive DSP and vision applications.

The Artix-7 FPGA uses Xilinx 28nm HPL (High-Performance, Low-Power) process technology. The basic logic element is the slice, containing 4 LUTs (6-input) and 8 flip-flops. The 240 DSP48E1 slices each contain a 25×18-bit pre-adder, multiplier, and 48-bit accumulator — critical for FIR filters, FFT, and motor control algorithms. Block RAM (36Kb per block) can be configured as two independent 18Kb RAMs, true dual-port, with byte-wide write enable. The Clock Management Tile (CMT) combines a Mixed-Mode Clock Manager (MMCM) with a PLL for frequency synthesis, phase alignment, and jitter filtering. Configuration is loaded from external SPI Flash (EPCQ or standard SPI NOR) via Master Serial mode, or through JTAG for development.
