Running at 80MHz with 128KB Flash and 40KB RAM, it integrates USB 2.0 Full-Speed, a 12-bit ADC, dual 12-bit DAC, and comprehensive communication peripherals. The device achieves 0.8µA in Stop mode and 30nA in Standby mode, enabling multi-year battery operation in IoT and wearable applications.

The STM32L412R8T6 is built on ST’s ultra-low-power platform using a Cortex-M4 core with hardware FPU for efficient DSP computation. The power management system provides multiple low-power modes: Run (dynamic voltage scaling), Sleep (CPU stopped, peripherals running), Stop (all clocks stopped, SRAM retained, 0.8µA), and Standby (only RTC and wakeup logic active, 30nA). Wakeup from Stop takes only 4µs. The USB 2.0 controller handles all protocol layers with minimal CPU overhead. The Chrom-ART Accelerator is a 2D DMA engine that offloads common graphics operations (memory-to-memory copy, blending, pixel format conversion) from the CPU.
