The RT6254AHGJ6F from Richtek is a 4.5-18V, 4A synchronous step-down converter using ACOT control in TSOT-23-6 (FC). Integrated 48mOhm/25mOhm MOSFETs provide high efficiency with 115uA quiescent current. ACOT architecture delivers ultrafast transient response while maintaining nearly constant 500kHz switching frequency. Features include power-save mode, power good, hiccup OCP, UVP, UVLO, and thermal shutdown.

Uses Richtek’s ACOT (Advanced Constant On-Time) control architecture. Unlike traditional constant on-time, ACOT adds an internal compensator that adjusts the on-time to maintain nearly constant switching frequency across line and load. The on-time modulator responds within one switching cycle to load transients, providing faster response than fixed-frequency current-mode controllers. At light loads, the device enters power-save mode (PSM) by skipping pulses to maintain efficiency.
