The B6B-PH-K-S(LF)(SN) from JST is a 6-position 2.0 mm pitch PH series through-hole side-entry PCB header. The PH series is one of the most widely used wire-to-board connector families in the electronics industry, offering compact size and reliable locking mechanism. The side-entry (right-angle) configuration allows cable exit parallel to the PCB, saving vertical space. The tin-plated contacts provide reliable soldering and long-term connection stability. The lead-free (LF) designation ensures RoHS compliance. The locking mechanism prevents accidental disconnection due to vibration or cable pull.

The B6B-PH-K-S header mates with the corresponding PH series crimp-style wire housing (e.g., B6B-PH-SM4-TB) to form a complete wire-to-board connection system. The crimp contact in the housing is a box-shaped phosphor bronze contact with a spring lance that locks into the housing and a contact beam that engages the header pin with normal force ensuring low contact resistance. The header pins are brass with tin plating, providing compatibility with both leaded and lead-free soldering processes. The housing features a locking mechanism (a flexible lance on the housing that engages a protrusion on the header) that provides tactile and audible confirmation of full mating while preventing accidental disconnection. The 2.0 mm pitch allows higher density than the more common 2.54 mm pitch connectors.
