The AD4PS-1+ is a Mini-Circuits 4-way 0-degree power splitter/combiner covering 1 to 500MHz in a surface-mount CJ725 package. The 4-way configuration divides an input signal into four equal-amplitude, equal-phase outputs. The 30dB typical isolation between output ports prevents interaction between connected subsystems. The 0.5dB typical insertion loss above the theoretical 6dB split loss indicates low dissipative loss. The 1.12:1 input VSWR and 1.10:1 output VSWR provide good 50-ohm matching. The core-and-wire construction achieves the wide 1-500MHz bandwidth. The 0.5W maximum input power suits receive-side and low-power transmit applications.

The AD4PS-1+ uses a cascaded transformer splitter architecture. The input feeds a 2-way transformer divider, each output of which feeds a second 2-way divider, creating four equal outputs. The ferrite core transformers provide wideband 1-500MHz operation through flat frequency response. Isolation is achieved by internal resistor networks absorbing reflected power from mismatched loads. The 0 deg phase relationship is maintained by symmetric winding construction with identical path lengths. Insertion loss above theoretical 6.02dB split loss is due to core loss, copper resistance, and dielectric losses.
