The 74HC4067PW-Q100J from Nexperia is a 16-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer in TSSOP24, qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 1 for automotive applications. It features 4 digital select inputs (S0-S3) to route one of 16 I/O channels (Y0-Y15) to a common I/O (Z). The enable input (E) turns all switches off when high. The break-before-make design prevents momentary shorting during channel transitions. Low 60-80 Ohm ON resistance minimizes signal attenuation.

The 74HC4067PW-Q100J operates as a 16-channel single-pole 16-throw analog switch. (1) Four digital select inputs (S0-S3) decode to select one of 16 channels. The selected channel connects to the common Z terminal through an internal MOSFET switch with 60-80 Ohm ON resistance. (2) The enable input (E) turns off all switches when driven high, providing a high-impedance state on all channels. This enables bus sharing and power-down modes. (3) The break-before-make switching ensures that the current channel disconnects before the new channel connects, preventing momentary short circuits between channels. Input clamp diodes allow interfacing to voltages exceeding VCC when current-limiting resistors are used.
