The SI8630BD-B-IS is a Silicon Labs (Skyworks) low-power triple-channel digital isolator in 16-pin wide-body SOIC providing 5000VRMS reinforced isolation. Three unidirectional forward channels suit SPI isolation (SCLK, MOSI, CS) or multi-channel control. The 150Mbps rate supports high-speed protocols. Capacitive coupling with SiO2 insulation provides stable performance across -40C to +125C with 60-year rated life. Schmitt trigger inputs provide high noise immunity. Tight timing (10ns prop delay, 1.5ns PWD, 0.5ns channel skew) suits precision applications. The 35kV/us CMTI ensures robustness near fast-switching power electronics.

The SI8630BD-B-IS uses capacitive isolation with on-chip high-voltage capacitors. Each channel has a transmitter encoding the input via RF modulation and a receiver that demodulates to reconstruct the output. The SiO2 dielectric provides galvanic isolation. The wide-body SOIC-16 provides minimum creepage and clearance for reinforced insulation. Schmitt trigger inputs reject noise. UVLO on each side independently monitors supply voltage.
