The PIC18F24K22-I/MV is a high-performance 8-bit PIC18 microcontroller from Microchip with C-compiler optimized architecture. It features 16KB Flash, 768B RAM, 256B EEPROM, and operates up to 64MHz (16MHz with 4x PLL). Dual EUSART, dual MSSP (I2C/SPI), 17-channel 10-bit ADC, and multiple PWM outputs provide rich peripheral integration for complex embedded applications. The 28-pin QFN (MLF) package offers a compact footprint with excellent thermal dissipation through the exposed pad.

The PIC18 K22 core uses a 16-bit instruction word (vs. 14-bit in PIC16) for more efficient C-compiled code with fewer instructions per operation. The linear addressing mode eliminates banked memory access overhead. Dual MSSP modules enable simultaneous I2C and SPI operation on independent pins, allowing protocol bridging (e.g., I2C-to-SPI bridge). The Configurable Logic Cell (CLC) combines combinatorial and sequential logic without CPU intervention for custom hardware functions. The 4x PLL generates 64MHz internal clock from a 16MHz crystal, delivering 16 MIPS throughput. Multiple independent power domains enable selective peripheral power-down.
