The MP1542DK-LF-Z is a 30V 2A boost (step-up) converter from Monolithic Power in SOT-23-6, operating at 1.3MHz switching frequency with a 1.2A internal N-channel MOSFET. It uses current-mode control: an inner current loop regulates the peak inductor current cycle-by-cycle, while the outer voltage loop (FB pin compared against 1.25V reference) adjusts the current setpoint. Current-mode control provides faster transient response and inherent cycle-by-cycle current limiting compared to voltage-mode. The 1.3MHz frequency enables use of small 2.2uH-4.7uH inductors and ceramic output capacitors. The device supports output voltages up to 30V from inputs as low as 2.5V, making it suitable for OLED bias, LCD bias, and LED driver applications. The SHDN pin reduces supply current to 0.1uA when pulled LOW. Under-voltage lockout (UVLO) prevents operation below 2.0V. Soft-start is internally set to approximately 1ms to limit inrush current. The -LF-Z suffix indicates lead-free, tape-and-reel packaging.
