The MEC8-125-02-L-D-RA1 is a Samtec MEC8-RA series 0.80 mm pitch mini edge card connector featuring 50 positions in a dual-row configuration with right-angle surface-mount termination. Designed to accept 1.6 mm thick daughter cards, the connector supports up to 14 Gbps NRZ data rates with gold-plated phosphor bronze cantilever bellows contacts. The LCP (liquid crystal polymer) insulator provides excellent dimensional stability and high-temperature resistance for lead-free reflow compatibility. Board guide features facilitate blind mating in high-density embedded computing, networking, and test equipment applications.

The MEC8-125-02-L-D-RA1 provides a board-to-board interconnect through edge card insertion. The daughter card (1.6 mm thick) slides into the connector slot, where cantilever bellows contacts deflect against the card edge pads, creating a gas-tight connection with 15 mΩ maximum contact resistance. The right-angle orientation allows the daughter card to mount perpendicular to the main PCB, creating a mezzanine or expansion card configuration. The 0.80 mm pitch and controlled-impedance contact geometry maintain signal integrity for high-speed differential pair routing at data rates up to 14 Gbps NRZ.
