The ISO7310FCDR is a TI single-channel digital isolator in 8-pin narrow SOIC providing 3000VRMS galvanic isolation per UL1577 and 4242VPK per VDE 0884-10. It uses capacitive coupling with SiO2 insulation. The 25Mbps rate supports Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet. The integrated noise filter rejects short pulses. Default output low ensures known state on power loss. Operates from 3V to 5.5V supporting 3.3V to 5V level translation. The 25kV/us CMTI provides robustness against fast switching transients in motor drive applications.

The ISO7310FCDR uses capacitive isolation with on-chip capacitors. The transmitter encodes the input signal using RF carrier modulation. When input is high, carrier is transmitted across isolation capacitors. The receiver demodulates and reconstructs the digital output. The SiO2 insulation provides galvanic isolation. The noise filter rejects short transients under 10ns. The default output low circuit ensures output settles to logic low when input side is unpowered.
