The FP6291LR-G1 is a 5V/1A boost converter from Feeling Technology (Feeling Tech) in SOT-23-5, designed for single-cell Li-Ion to 5V USB power conversion. It uses a fixed-frequency PWM architecture at 1.2MHz with an internal N-channel MOSFET rated for 2A peak current. The output voltage is set by the feedback divider: VOUT = 0.6V x (1 + R1/R2), where R1 connects from VOUT to FB and R2 connects from FB to GND. For 5V output, typical values are R1=470kOhm and R2=68kOhm. The current-mode control loop provides stable operation with ceramic output capacitors (no ESR requirement). The device achieves up to 92% efficiency at 5V/500mA output from a 3.7V Li-Ion cell. The EN pin has a 1.5V threshold, allowing direct connection to a GPIO for power control. Internal soft-start (approximately 2ms) limits inrush current. The 2.4V minimum input voltage allows operation from a deeply discharged Li-Ion cell. The low 1uA shutdown current extends battery life in portable devices.
