The FNEPON125 is a 125VAC 5A PCB-mount fuse holder from Schurter, designed for 5x20mm cartridge fuses. The fuse holder provides a safe and convenient way to install and replace fuses on a PCB without soldering. The holder consists of: (1) Two tin-plated brass contacts that grip the fuse end caps; (2) A UL94V-0 rated PBT housing that contains any arc or debris during fuse blowing; (3) Through-hole mounting tabs for PCB attachment. The 125VAC rating matches the voltage rating of standard 5x20mm fuses for North American mains (120VAC nominal). The 5A current rating refers to the maximum fuse rating that can be installed (the holder itself can carry 10A continuously). The insertion force is 8N typical, and the withdrawal force is 5N minimum (ensuring the fuse stays in place during vibration). The contact resistance is less than 10m-ohm. The dielectric strength is 1500Vrms between line and load (with fuse removed). The operating temperature range is -40C to +85C. The -FNEPON125 part number encodes: FN = fuse holder series, EP = open design (no cover), ON = without indicator, 125 = 125V rating. Applications include: power supply input protection, transformer primary protection, and IEC 60950 safety compliance in consumer electronics.
