The CC1200RHBR is a high-performance Sub-1GHz RF transceiver from Texas Instruments, supporting ISM/SRD bands (164-950 MHz) with data rates up to 1.25 Mbps. Its excellent receiver sensitivity (-123 dBm at 1.2 kbps) and +16 dBm output power enable long-range wireless links. The integrated hardware AES128 engine provides secure communication, while eWOR enables ultra-low power receive polling at 0.5uA. The 32-pin VQFN package and SPI interface simplify PCB design and host MCU integration.

The CC1200RHBR operates as a fully integrated RF transceiver with all filters on-chip, eliminating external SAW and IF filters. The receiver chain includes a low-noise amplifier (LNA), mixer, complex intermediate frequency processing, delta-sigma ADC, and digital downconverter with channel filtering. The transmitter uses a fractional-N PLL with direct modulation, generating the modulated RF carrier from the crystal reference. WaveMatch is an advanced digital signal processing feature that improves sync word detection performance, especially under multipath and interference conditions. The hardware AES128 accelerator encrypts/decrypts payload data independently of the MCU, adding minimal latency. Enhanced Wake-On-Radio (eWOR) uses a 40 kHz RC oscillator to periodically wake the receiver from 0.12uA power-down, sniff the channel for preamble, and return to sleep if no signal is detected. The 802.15.4g packet handler offloads CRC16/32 computation, forward error correction (FEC), data whitening, and dual sync detection. The SPI interface provides register configuration and FIFO access for transmit and receive data.
