In steady state, a voltage-mode error amplifier regulates the output. During load transients, the current-mode path provides fast response with adaptive constant on-time. The 2.5MHz switching frequency enables use of small 1uH inductors and 22uF output capacitors. The integrated 90mOhm\/70mOhm MOSFETs achieve 95% efficiency at 2A output. When EN is low, the device enters shutdown with 1.5uA supply current. 100% duty cycle mode allows VIN to drop to near VOUT for low-dropout operation.
